Our family affects who we are and who we become, both for better and for worse.
When we learn their vocabulary, habits, customs and rituals—and how to view and observe the world around us—it affects how we show up as parents, partners, peers, and leaders.

E.M.B.R.A.C.E. Parenting® the Inner Children in You and Others
Whether I’m working with parents, couples or groups — my coaching services are a great fit for people who may not be interested in therapy, but know it’s time to practice new ways of navigating relationships. My coaching approach is a unique combination based on the IFS (Internal Family Systems) model developed by Richard Schwartz, Ph.D., & IFIO (Intimacy from the Inside Out) from Toni Herbine-Blank, and Somatic IFS by Susan McConnell, and a “person-in-environment” perspective that brings them together. Each of your coaching sessions is a judgment-free and shame-free space to learn how to parent the children in your world, including the inner children within you, or your loved ones.
E.M.B.R.A.C.E. Parenting® helps you connect with and heal the parts of you that didn’t get the parenting you needed when you were young so you can move forward in the present.
Honored to have presented the E.M.B.R.A.C.E Parenting® workshop on 9/15 at the sold-out AACC World Conference 2023 Know Hope—attended by over 7,000 counselors and leaders representing 50 states and 50 countries:
Coaching For Parents
Children are like sponges, especially in the realm of feelings and anxiety. With the unique combination of nature and nurture, many children who are overwhelmed with anxiety have what seem like feeler antennae and absorb much from their environment. Learning parenting perspectives that can understand these parts of their children can make space for the children to begin to find balance.
I work with individuals, couples, teams, and organizations.
Common reasons for seeking relational coaching include:
Parenting issues
Divorce
Parent-child conflict
Problems between siblings
Partner conflicts due to heightened anxiety
The unexpected or traumatic change in the family
Career stress is taking its toll on the entire family
The first step on your journey is understanding the issues (that are often rooted in your upbringing) informing the way you relate to the people and situations in your world.
Being able to understand how an anxious family (whether it is a biological family, relational “family” or work or organizational “family”) is formed can help bring understanding and awareness—which is a powerful tool for facilitating healing and results.
Some positive relational coaching outcomes are:
Develop new strategies to create and maintain boundaries for your stage of life
Foster connection and communication among family members
Promote problem-solving through the lens of family patterns and dynamics
Build empathy and compassion for open communication
Reduce conflict by practicing healthier ways of disagreeing
